Following the success of their sophomore album, Under My Influence, indie-pop quartet The Aces release a special deluxe edition of the breakout record.

In addition to the album’s original fourteen tracks – including hit singles “Daydream,” “My Phone is Trying to Kill Me,” “Lost Angeles,” and “801” – the digital deluxe release contains the fan-favorite B-sides “Sleepy Eyes” and “Aren’t You” and remixes from Snakehips and Fickle Friends, in addition to a brand-new remix of “Daydream” from GRAMMY Award-winning rock band Portugal The Man

We’ve been fans of Portugal The Man for a long time, so hearing that they wanted to remix one of our favorite songs on the album was really exciting. Going into the studio to bring this dreamy, rock and roll take on ‘Daydream’ to life was challenging and really fun. It was a completely new experience compared to any other remix we’ve done. This remix gives ‘Daydream’ a whole new life. Portugal The Man fuckin’ rules, and we love it,” says The Aces’ lead singer and vocalist, Cristal Ramirez.

“We met The Aces a number of years ago when they were just starting out, and I just love the way they have grown as artists,” echoes John Gourley, lead singer of Portugal The Man.

Executive produced and co-written by the band, Under My Influence debuted across numerous Billboard Charts, hitting #53 on Top Albums, #31 for Emerging Artists, and #18 on Heatseekers Albums, in addition to earning a spot in Rolling Stone’s Breakthrough 25 list. With support from Alternative Press, Entertainment Weekly, GLAAD, MTV, NPR, Nylon, PAPER, Refinery29, Teen Vogue, and more, the project received praise for its exploration of love, relationships, mental health, religion, and sexuality, with several band members owning their identities as queer women and using gender pronouns in their music for the first time.

The deluxe release comes ahead of their band’s highly anticipated return to the road for their Under My Influence North American Tour. Kicking off this fall, the women-led lineup sees The Aces joined by pop wunderkind Madeline the Person, Canadian rock band The Beaches, and indie duo Sawyer for a run of dates across the US and Canada.
