UK Pop/R&B Sensation Morgan Returns with Fiery Double Release “One Man” Featuring Beenie Man & “Bad Gyal Energy”

UK Pop/R&B powerhouse Morgan is turning up the heat with a fiery double release. The two singles mark a powerful new chapter for the rising star, led by the hard-hitting focus track “One Man” featuring the GRAMMY-award winning Dancehall icon Beenie Man, and paired with the unapologetic anthem “Bad Gyal Energy”.

A sizzling first-ever collaboration with one of dancehall’s most iconic figures, “One Man” fuses Morgan’s magnetic delivery with Beenie Man’s unmistakable fire, built around a fresh take on his unforgettable 2004 hit “Dude”. Rooted in Morgan’s half-Jamaican heritage – a driving force throughout her artistry – the track exemplifies her fearless approach to pushing boundaries, seamlessly blending her cultural influences with pop and R&B elements. Accompanied by an official music video shot in Jamaica with Beenie Man, the release is a bold statement of identity and evolution.

On the making of “One Man”, Morgan shares: “‘One Man’ is one of those songs that just makes me feel free. It’s inspired by my Jamaican heritage, but it doesn’t tie itself to one lane or genre. It just feels like a pure Morgan song – what I create doesn’t have to fit into any boxes – it represents me and my culture. We had so much fun making this one in the studio, sampling one of the most iconic reggae songs, to then have the artist of that iconic song wanting to jump on my take on it. You can’t get more legendary than Beenie Man. It’s a pinch me moment and I’m gassed for you all to hear it. Summer might be coming to an end now, but let’s keep the vibe going for as long as we can.”

Also included in the release is “Bad Gyal Energy”, an empowering record that brings a dynamic balance of heat and attitude with fierce dancefloor energy. The track will be spotlighted at Red Bull’s Dance Your Style World Finals at Intuit Dome in Los Angeles this October, where Morgan will perform as part of the event’s week-long programming around the iconic annual dance competition.

Speaking on the creation of “Bad Gyal Energy”, Morgan shares: “‘Bad Gyal Energy’ is slightly different from what I usually create. It’s a nod to the underground Jamaican dancehall scene – it’s one for those that love to dance and rave. My favourite part of making this track is that I got my dad involved. He was an MC, producer and artist back in the day and grew up working on sound systems. He’s played a big part in my musical upbringing, and I’m obsessed that we could do this together – big up Jeffrey Smith!”

This latest drop follows an exciting 12 months for Morgan, who released her first EP via Red Bull Records ‘Emotional Gangster’ last October and went on to sell out her first UK headline tour, including a show at London’s legendary Jazz Café. In April this year, she returned with “My My My”, a sun-soaked R&B/pop anthem produced by Blake Straus, Monro and 808Bhav808. A euphoric, summer-ready love song, the track marked the 23-year-old’s first release of 2025 and showcased her signature blend of soulful R&B and vibrant pop, cementing her reputation as one of the UK’s most versatile and exciting artists.

James Vickery Releases Anticipated Studio Album JAMES. Featuring Brand New Single “Fall In Your Arms”

Standout South-London R&B artist James Vickery today releases his superb new studio album JAMES.

The album encapsulates an exhilarating year so far that has seen the release of stunning singles “All In”, “Right Side”, “Butter” & “Hotel Lobby”, receiving praise across the board with support from Billboard, Ones To Watch, Apple Music (The Rebecca Judd Show), BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, KISS, The Independent & more.

Joining forces with longtime collaborator JD Reid (Mahalia, Mabel, Sinead Harnett), producer Larrance Dopson (Kendrick Lamar, Ella Mai, Justin Timberlake) and Grammy-nominated LA songwriter/composer Jonah Christian (Beyonce, Normani, Tems), his stunning new album is a remarkably assured statement – one that introduces a whole new sound to his audience. It’s an album Vickery calls his most authentic yet, blending classic R&B, Seventies funk, soul, and the pop sounds of the late Nineties and early 2000s that shaped him. That organic energy is palpable throughout – a bold, emotionally rich statement from an artist fully embracing who he is.

Today also sees the arrival of brand-new single “Fall In Your Arms” – a simply stunning track, encapsulating the depth and sheer quality of James as an artist. He strips everything away for this tender, heart-rending piano ballad on which Vickery pleads. “I finally feel safe/ ‘cos you’re here by my side. I need it night and day/ And all my problems drift away.”

Also appearing on the album is the suave R&B slow jam “Like That” featuring breakout rapper BIA, and a breathtaking rendition of Aerosmith’s chart-topping hit, “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing”. The fan favourite “Hotel Lobby” was recently featured on Love Island UK and James took part in Crystal Palace’s sensational FA Cup build up and victory celebrations as he performed their club anthem ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’ for fans at Wembley’s Box Park before the game. He also sat down with BBC London TV for an interview at the stadium, HERE.

James is completely deaf in one ear due to a life-threatening cholesteatoma diagnosed at the age of eight. A vocal coach, initially brought in to help him with his speech, soon discovered his astonishing singing ability. His documentary Louder offered a candid glimpse into his experiences, shedding light on his identity and heritage as the son of a Welsh father and South African mother.

James has built an impressive career to date. His breakthrough COLORS SHOW has racked up nearly 40 million views, and collaborations with Kojey Radical, Musiq Soulchild, Kenny Beats, EARTHGANG & SG Lewis, as well as support from BBC Radio 1, BBC 1Xtra, The Fader, Clash & Complex, has cemented his reputation as a standout voice in UK R&B. Once driven by a need for acceptance, James has now embraced his truth.

James will tour North America, Europe and the UK throughout October, November & December – tickets here.

Chris LaRocca Releases Single “last pair of boots in town” Ahead of Anticipated EP ‘dog years’ Coming October 3rd

Toronto’s own artist and producer Chris LaRocca today released his single “last pair of boots in town” ahead of his EP ‘dog years’ arriving on October 3rd.

“last pair of boots in town” speaks to the cyclical nature of toxic relationships. While he is surrounded by friends, loved ones, fellow creatives, and peers in the music industry, this single focuses in on the moments where he feels most isolated.

The lyrics are as introspective as ever, as Chris LaRocca balances melancholy with a matter-of-fact kind of acceptance. His tone is bittersweet as he takes listeners through what feels like an inevitable ebb and flow of relationships in his life. The instrumentation on this single is intentional and sparce, shining a clear spotlight on his words. “last pair of boots in town” is more than just a sad song, it is a journey where Chris LaRocca faces the truth that some people will never change.

On the moments that led to this single, LaRocca shares: “‘last pair of boots in town’ is beyond heartbreak – it’s about feeling like you are both someone’s last resort and safety net; when you are so toxically in love with someone that no matter how they treat you, they know you will always be there when they call. When writing this song, I was originally thinking about a friend of mine’s experience with someone they loved who treated them terribly, but ironically a year after creating it I found that I was living the story of this song myself. I think that’s why this song is so important to me – it is such a universal and painful feeling that so many have experienced, and I want it to feel like a safe space for people who can relate to know that they are not alone.”

As the release of his EP dog years approaches, “last pair of boots in town” has revealed yet another facet of Chris LaRocca’s exploration of a brand-new personal sound. Since dropping his single “ladybug” at the start of this year, he has been steadily unveiling the range of what listeners can expect to hear across the full EP project.

rouri404 Steps Into New Era With Emo-Electronic Single “body (i want you)” Out Now

Rising LA artist rouri404 released his second single of the year “body (i want you)” today on Red Bull Records. Following a transformational cross-country move from Orlando to Los Angeles earlier this year, the genre-blending artist has hit the ground running with new music and a fresh direction, showcasing the evolution of his sound to fans and new listeners alike.

With futuristic synths, plucky soundboard adlibs, and a track composition that honors the best parts of EDM – rouri404 is redefining the space between emo-adjacent hyperpop and classic electronic music as he modernizes the genre. Lyrically, “body (i want you)” is an honest exploration of self, encompassing the challenges that can stand in the way of growth and embracing the journey for all its parts.

On the story behind “body (i want you)” rouri404 shares: “After getting sober in 2020, I began experiencing anxiety and stress-related seizures. It became difficult to hold a full-time job because I was constantly afraid that my mind or body would shut down on me. I felt like I had
no control, like something could possess me at any moment and I’d be completely powerless. For a long time I blamed myself. I thought choices I made when I was younger had ruined me, permanently.”

rouri404 continues: “But with time I started to see things differently. I’ve come to believe that all my flaws for better or worse, have shaped who I am. They are still part of the story. I realized I’ll never feel truly comfortable in my own skin until I can treat the worst parts of myself as equal. “body” is my attempt to move through all of that, to sit with those thoughts and feelings as honestly and openly as I can.”

While his affinity for raw vocals and his layered, glitchy production are consistent with previous releases, rouri404 has entered into a new chapter of his personal sound. Drawing inspiration from legacy artists like Skrillex, while also sharing a lane with newer acts like 2hollis and ISOxo, rouri404 is taking different facets of the genre and arranging them in a way that only he can.

COUNTRY ARTIST & AWARD-WINNING SONGWRITER PYNK BEARD ANNOUNCES FORTHCOMING DEBUT EP ‘RED DIRT DIARIES’ OUT THIS FALL

PYNK BEARD (Sebastian Kole) announces his signing to Red Bull Records alongside the release of his new single, “Sip”, the third offering from his debut EP, Red Dirt Diaries coming this fall. “Sip” arrives with an official music video that sees PYNK BEARD tending the bar at the beloved Mom’s Basement in Birmingham, Alabama – his hometown. All it takes is one ‘sip’ and he’s transformed from bustling bartender to electric performer, setting the stage ablaze.

PYNK BEARD joins Red Bull Records’ genre-diverse, boundary-pushing roster of talent, including House of Protection, James Vickery, Morgan, Joony, among others. On the signing, Greg Hammer, Managing Director of Red Bull Records states: “PYNK BEARD effortlessly blends his traditional Southern roots with culturally resonant lyrics, creating a sound that is truly original. To watch him build a loyal following before releasing any music officially has been incredibly impressive and speaks to how special he is. We’re thrilled to welcome him to Red Bull Records and we’re confident he has a bright future ahead of him that we’re proud to champion.”

“I’m so grateful to be a part of the Red Bull Records family!” PYNK BEARD added. “They have been nothing short of amazing in supporting me in the release of my first two singles ‘I Lived’ and ‘Mine Lord Willing’, and their genuine interest and care for me as an artist has shown in every action. The future here is bright and PYNK.”

Listen to “Sip” here: https://pynkbeard.ffm.to/sip

Reflecting on the meaning of “Sip”, PYNK BEARD continued: “This song is just about letting your hair down. It is my ode to a relaxing happy hour or weekend vibe and it pairs perfectly with your favorite glass of wine, whiskey, tequila, or whatever you’re into. Raise a glass, hit the dance floor, and DANCE.”

This is a powerful new chapter in the story of songwriter Sebastian Kole. Raised in Birmingham, Alabama as a preacher’s son, he grew up directing the church choir and moonlighting in country bands, weaving country soul, R&B, and gospel influences into his own music. Across his storied career, he’s been an instrumental writer on six different GRAMMY-winning and nominated projects with milestones that include writing hit songs like Alessia Cara’s #1 singles “Scars to Your Beautiful” and “Here”, as well as standout tracks for Alicia Keys, John Legend, Halle Bailey, Ariana Grande, and Jennifer Lopez, among others.

Having given up on the idea he could ever be an artist in his own right, he dyed his beard pink, assumed a new name, and grasped at the opportunity to embrace a genre of music he’d always loved but previously felt like he had to suppress – country. With an alias like PYNK BEARD, it goes without saying that he’s bringing something different to the genre, grills and all.

PYNK BEARD’s new music is a thrilling ode to the diversity of the modern South and the many multitudes he contains. In April, he released his first single, “I Lived”, a tale of a reverend’s son who hails from the outskirts of Birmingham. In June, the dance floor stomp “Mine, Lord Willing” followed, a two-and-half-minute honky-tonk and ode to the incredible women in his life. Including “Sip”, all three singles will appear on his anticipated debut EP, Red Dirt Diaries in the fall – pre-save/order it, here.

In just a few months, PYNK BEARD has quickly earned hundreds of thousands of streams and followers amongst gigs across the US. He recently performed live at several sold-out shows and festivals including CMA Fest, The Birmingham Folk Festival, Exit/In, and others. Electronic Meets Pop-Punk on rouri404’s New Single “miss it”

Rising genre-bending artist rouri404 today released his new single, “miss it”. The song marks his first release in over a year, showcasing his evolution both sonically and lyrically. rouri404’s last project saw him lean more heavily into the darker side of hyperpop, but with “miss it” he’s revealed another facet of his artistry. It’s upbeat and EDM-centric, but also layered in classic rouri404 fashion – rife with raw vocals and a glitchy, synth-heavy production. Refusing to be put in a box, “miss it” draws from trap, dubstep, hyperpop, and pop-punk stylings – all seamlessly brought together by its introspective lyrics.

On returning with new music, rouri404 reflects: “I’ve always made music from a place of pain, it felt safer to lean into sadness than to risk showing any other side of myself. I’ve always been afraid that if people saw me for me, they’d think I was weird or cringey. ‘miss it’ is different, it’s me throwing those fears out the window.”

Relocating to LA from Orlando this year has had a clear impact on rouri404, as he continues: “After moving across the country, I had a lot of time to reflect, not just on music but on who I am and who I want to become. I grew up surrounded by a lot of negativity, and for years that shaped the way I expressed myself. I had become content with it, and realized that’s not who I want to be. I want to be able to create from a place that reflects better moments in life. I’ve

been so focused on the past that I’ve let the good memories slip by without realizing it. I don’t want to miss anymore.”

Last night, rouri404 debuted “miss it” for the first time live at LA’s iconic venue, El Cid. The room was full of palpable energy as he delivered an electric performance to his growing local community on the West Coast. Keep an eye out for more from rouri404 this summer!

Peter $un Releases Anticipated Album ‘Rent Was Due…’ with Nine Tracks Including “Double Standards” Featuring R&B Singer-Songwriter Joyce Wrice

Richmond-to-LA rapper, producer, and singer-songwriter Peter $un today unveiled his full-length album ‘Rent Was Due…’ The nine-track project arrives with the new single “Double Standards” featuring breakout R&B star Joyce Wrice. The official music video, coming next week, sees Sunny and his date in a swanky bar surrounded by a rotating cast of women and men vying for their respective attention, all while they bicker about the double standards at play.

In the lead up to his album release, Peter $un (Sunny) has been warming up fans with summer-ready singles all season, including the feel-good track, “All That I Want” featuring Bay Area rapper Rexx Life Raj and the backyard BBQ anthem, “Weight On Me” featuring SoCal rapper Buddy. While “Double Standards” dials down the dancefloor energy, it showcases another side of the Virginia native, highlighting his soulful roots and nostalgic R&B influences.

Unpacking the meaning behind the single, Sunny shared: “I wrote ‘Double Standards’ based on the dynamics of a toxic relationship. It’s about calling your partner out on some shit, meanwhile you’re doing all the same things to them.”

Sunny’s verses flow with ease, and when Joyce Wrice joins in, their synergy is undeniable. They exchange playful arguments about relationship imbalances over a laid-back beat that creates an effortless groove. On collaborating with Joyce, Sunny added: “Working with Joyce Wrice on the track was amazing. She has this great energy whenever she pulls up – she really killed it on this one.”

The album introduces brand new tracks like the jazz-inspired opener, “Get Down,” which borrows from Kool and the Gang’s iconic “Get Down On It”, and the old school rap track, “Keep the Faith”. Sunny bounces between different eras, genres, and sonic landscapes throughout the album, pulling from his dynamic West Coast community and the fabric of the Richmond scene. While each piece of the project has its own musical identity that flexes Sunny’s versatility, together they form a cohesive narrative on ‘Rent Was Due…’

Piecing it all together, Sunny reflects: “The album is deeply personal to me – it’s life imitating art. Creating it gave me a way to express joy during a difficult time and reminded me of the control I have over that little voice in my head. We wanted to dance through the chaos and now, we’re celebrating.”

Sunny created this album from a real need to make rent – a challenge that many rising artists face in monetizing their passion – and for his existing fans, it only re-emphasizes his commitment to transparency. It’s both raw and relatable, yet it never succumbs to the difficulties Sunny faced at the time. Looking toward a brighter future, he chose to find the silver lining and that hope shines through in the colorful tones of ‘Rent Was Due…’.

Peter $un Releases West Coast Summer Anthem “All That I Want” featuring Rexx Life Raj

Richmond-born, LA-based artist Peter $un (Sunny) returned today with his new feel-good single, “All That I Want” featuring Bay Area rapper Rexx Life Raj on Red Bull Records/Mind of a Genius. While Sunny’s DMV roots are foundational to his sound, moving to Los Angeles has brought a West Coast flavor to his music that gives “All That I Want” its bouncy, upbeat groove. His love for ‘90s neo-soul can also be felt in the laid-back rhythm and funky instrumentation. Rexx Life Raj adds a contagious energy in his verse, making for a smooth yet party-ready track. While it’s easy to dance and vibe when it comes on, the lyrics in Sunny’s verses are deceptively vulnerable. He’s only got eyes for one girl in the room and wants to be sure she knows it.

On the making of “All That I Want,” Sunny shares,Rondo came to me with a beat he’d made and as soon as I heard it, I knew I wanted to put a verse on it. It was just different. Rondo’s been my main collaborator as far as production goes since 2018 and he knows the styles of beats I like and how I want things to sound. Then Rexx & Pineapple Citi hopped on, and they really took it to the next level. I wanted to make something that people could have fun with, move a little, feel good. Hearing it back for the first time after everyone did their thing, it felt complete.

The accompanying visualizer captures a chill morning with Sunny and friends on the front steps of his house. From LA to the Bay, Sunny and Rexx are setting the mood for a kick-back. With a tip jar in hand labeled “Rent $$$”, Sunny’s gearing up for a summer of hustle as he works to make ends meet while enjoying the moment.

Earning fans in everyone from Zane Lowe to Russ, Sunny has built a loyal following around his soulful repertoire. Last year, he released the house-inspired track “MY FAVORITE DRUG” off his summer starter EP, 3PIECE. With it came his debut on SpringHill’s coveted “On Site” YouTube series and a Red Bull Media House x Ghetto Film School short film, $unny Daze, directed by Lexx Truss. This year will see more new music and good vibes from Sunny – stay tuned.

Beartooth Unleash Deluxe Edition of Fifth Studio Album, The Surface Featuring Brand New Song “ATTN.”

Hot on the heels of their beloved song, “In Between” going RIAA Certified Platinum with over one million song sales in the US, Beartooth have even more good news to share with fans. Following their most successful tour to date – spanning 60+ shows across North America and over 100k tickets sold – and a year after the release of their chart-topping fifth album The Surface, which earned the band their first pair of #1 singles at US Active Rock radio (“Might Love Myself” & “I Was Alive”) and nominations at the Heavy Awards and Libera Awards, the gold-selling and billion-streaming Columbus rock band — Caleb Shomo, vocals; Zach Huston, guitars; Will Deely, guitars; Oshie Bichar, bass; and Connor Denis, drums — have dropped The Surface (Deluxe Edition) today.

The expanded edition of the album features the brand new song “ATTN.” In classic Beartooth fashion, it’s rife with hooks, supremely catchy verses, arena-filling, sing-along choruses, and monster breakdowns. The anthemic highs are reflective of Shomo’s introspective journey to finding and loving his authentic self. The high-energy video sees Shomo voyage through the subway system to his next stop, before taking an elevator back to the streets above – a metaphor for his professional and personal path from ground zero to the top.

‘ATTN.’  is about the ultimate conclusion that I’ve come to after this whole album cycle and living with these songs for as long as I have now, says Shomo, who has spent the past few years diligently cultivating a positive mental attitude after years of sharing his inner demons via his lyrics. “I think self-love has led to a deeper understanding of my value as a person, to myself and to others. I will always be proud of my art, and I will always be proud of the work that I’ve put in to say what matters to me. I think that’s a great lesson for anybody to take in their own work and their own life.

Shomo continues, “Other people’s perception of what you do does not dictate whether something is good or bad — that is only somebody’s view. What matters is you, yourself, believing in your work and if it makes you happy and pushes you to be a better version of yourself. That is all that matters at the end of the day. Chasing that feeling and trusting it and finding a group of people that will empower you in that journey is what it’s all about.

The Surface (Deluxe Edition) also includes new mixes of beloved album tracks and live cuts, the latter of which truly capture the band in its natural habitat — on stage and laying all of their cards face up on the table with and for the fans. The live renditions on the package were recorded at the Hard Rock in Sacramento where they brought an unforgettable performance to a sold-out crowd. This fall, they’ll bring “ATTN.” to audiences for the first time, as they embark on an 18-date run hitting iconic venues like Alexandra Palace.

The Surface was released in October 2023 on Red Bull Records. It has garnered 190 million streams to date, debuted at #1 on Billboard Hard Rock Albums, Luminate Alternative Albums, and Luminate Record Label Independent Current Albums, as well as #5 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales. The single “I Was Alive” landed at No. 1 on both the Billboard Mainstream Airplay Chart and the US Mediabase Active Rock radio chart. Just six months prior, the album’s previous single, “Might Love Myself,” also hit No. 1 and was the band’s first-ever chat topper at the format. Beartooth achieving back-to-back, chart-topping singles at radio was a huge testament to their decade of growth and the power of The Surface.

Like its predecessors, The Surface was an intensely personal and powerful journey for Shomo, who has never shied away from sharing his demons in his music and with his fans. However, the frontman has turned a corner with a more optimistic outlook and demonstrates exceptional growth as both an artist and a human being through the songs that comprise the album.

UK Pop/R&B Artist Morgan Links With Jamaican Superstar Byron Messia On Sizzling New Single “Wheel Up”

Hot on the heels of her latest single, “Bum Bum”, Morgan returns with her next new track, “Wheel Up”, revealing it will appear on her forthcoming EP, Emotional Gangster out October 25. Blending Dancehall with R&B, “Wheel Up” features patois-inflected vocals and a standout collaboration with the all-conquering Jamaican singer-songwriter Byron Messia, the dancehall superstar whose profile has skyrocketed since the release of last year’s international anthem “Talibans”.

Exclusively premiering as DJ Target’s ‘Embargo’ track on BBC 1Xtra last night, “Wheel Up” lands with a scintillating music video, directed by Kassandra Powell – the acclaimed filmmaker behind “Bum Bum– who brilliantly captures the vibrant, scorching summer energy of the track. Set in a heat-soaked environment with dancers and a lively house party, the video features captivating dance sequences and embodies the expressive, liberating spirit of the song. Both Morgan and Byron Messia take center stage as they exchange verses, exhibiting undeniable chemistry whilst bringing the hybrid R&B-Dancehall flavor to life.

“‘Wheel Up’ is a tribute to Jamaican rave culture, which in my opinion is the best type of party.” Morgan says, discussing the track’s creation. “There’s nothing better than being at a rave and the DJ ‘wheeling up’ and starting it again when the crowd is feeling them. I wanted to pay homage to Jamaica soundclash culture that has heavily influenced the UK music scene. I’m a huge fan of Byron Messia and couldn’t have had anyone else lay a verse on this – he brings energy and vibes when you’re around him. I wrote this with my best friend Taneisha Jaxxon and my brothers Slim Typical – they’re my day ones and I think we wrote this in only two hours! Hope you enjoy and remember to WHEEL IT UP.”

Morgan made an epic return to the scene with “Bum Bum”, earning co-signs from Tiffany Calver and DJ Target (BBC 1Xtra), Dotty and Rebecca Judd (Apple Music 1), Manny Norté (Capital XTRA) to name a few. Ushering in a new chapter of her artistic career, both singles will feature on her sophomore EP Emotional Gangster, a project that offers a 360-degree showcase of her personality and all the sounds that have influenced Morgan to date, from pop bangers to timeless ballads. Set for release on October 25 via Red Bull Records, pre-save it, HERE.
