Beartooth Unleash Deluxe Edition of Fifth Studio Album, The Surface Featuring Brand New Song “ATTN.”
Hot on the heels of their beloved song, “In Between” going RIAA Certified Platinum with over one million song sales in the US, Beartooth have even more good news to share with fans. Following their most successful tour to date – spanning 60+ shows across North America and over 100k tickets sold – and a year after the release of their chart-topping fifth album The Surface, which earned the band their first pair of #1 singles at US Active Rock radio (“Might Love Myself” & “I Was Alive”) and nominations at the Heavy Awards and Libera Awards, the gold-selling and billion-streaming Columbus rock band — Caleb Shomo, vocals; Zach Huston, guitars; Will Deely, guitars; Oshie Bichar, bass; and Connor Denis, drums — have dropped The Surface (Deluxe Edition) today.
The expanded edition of the album features the brand new song “ATTN.” In classic Beartooth fashion, it’s rife with hooks, supremely catchy verses, arena-filling, sing-along choruses, and monster breakdowns. The anthemic highs are reflective of Shomo’s introspective journey to finding and loving his authentic self. The high-energy video sees Shomo voyage through the subway system to his next stop, before taking an elevator back to the streets above – a metaphor for his professional and personal path from ground zero to the top.
“‘ATTN.’ is about the ultimate conclusion that I’ve come to after this whole album cycle and living with these songs for as long as I have now,” says Shomo, who has spent the past few years diligently cultivating a positive mental attitude after years of sharing his inner demons via his lyrics. “I think self-love has led to a deeper understanding of my value as a person, to myself and to others. I will always be proud of my art, and I will always be proud of the work that I’ve put in to say what matters to me. I think that’s a great lesson for anybody to take in their own work and their own life.“
Shomo continues, “Other people’s perception of what you do does not dictate whether something is good or bad — that is only somebody’s view. What matters is you, yourself, believing in your work and if it makes you happy and pushes you to be a better version of yourself. That is all that matters at the end of the day. Chasing that feeling and trusting it and finding a group of people that will empower you in that journey is what it’s all about.“
The Surface (Deluxe Edition) also includes new mixes of beloved album tracks and live cuts, the latter of which truly capture the band in its natural habitat — on stage and laying all of their cards face up on the table with and for the fans. The live renditions on the package were recorded at the Hard Rock in Sacramento where they brought an unforgettable performance to a sold-out crowd. This fall, they’ll bring “ATTN.” to audiences for the first time, as they embark on an 18-date run hitting iconic venues like Alexandra Palace.
The Surface was released in October 2023 on Red Bull Records. It has garnered 190 million streams to date, debuted at #1 on Billboard Hard Rock Albums, Luminate Alternative Albums, and Luminate Record Label Independent Current Albums, as well as #5 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales. The single “I Was Alive” landed at No. 1 on both the Billboard Mainstream Airplay Chart and the US Mediabase Active Rock radio chart. Just six months prior, the album’s previous single, “Might Love Myself,” also hit No. 1 and was the band’s first-ever chat topper at the format. Beartooth achieving back-to-back, chart-topping singles at radio was a huge testament to their decade of growth and the power of The Surface.
Like its predecessors, The Surface was an intensely personal and powerful journey for Shomo, who has never shied away from sharing his demons in his music and with his fans. However, the frontman has turned a corner with a more optimistic outlook and demonstrates exceptional growth as both an artist and a human being through the songs that comprise the album.
UK Pop/R&B Artist Morgan Links With Jamaican Superstar Byron Messia On Sizzling New Single “Wheel Up”
Hot on the heels of her latest single, “Bum Bum”, Morgan returns with her next new track, “Wheel Up”, revealing it will appear on her forthcoming EP, Emotional Gangster out October 25. Blending Dancehall with R&B, “Wheel Up” features patois-inflected vocals and a standout collaboration with the all-conquering Jamaican singer-songwriter Byron Messia, the dancehall superstar whose profile has skyrocketed since the release of last year’s international anthem “Talibans”.
Exclusively premiering as DJ Target’s ‘Embargo’ track on BBC 1Xtra last night, “Wheel Up” lands with a scintillating music video, directed by Kassandra Powell – the acclaimed filmmaker behind “Bum Bum” – who brilliantly captures the vibrant, scorching summer energy of the track. Set in a heat-soaked environment with dancers and a lively house party, the video features captivating dance sequences and embodies the expressive, liberating spirit of the song. Both Morgan and Byron Messia take center stage as they exchange verses, exhibiting undeniable chemistry whilst bringing the hybrid R&B-Dancehall flavor to life.
“‘Wheel Up’ is a tribute to Jamaican rave culture, which in my opinion is the best type of party.” Morgan says, discussing the track’s creation. “There’s nothing better than being at a rave and the DJ ‘wheeling up’ and starting it again when the crowd is feeling them. I wanted to pay homage to Jamaica soundclash culture that has heavily influenced the UK music scene. I’m a huge fan of Byron Messia and couldn’t have had anyone else lay a verse on this – he brings energy and vibes when you’re around him. I wrote this with my best friend Taneisha Jaxxon and my brothers Slim Typical – they’re my day ones and I think we wrote this in only two hours! Hope you enjoy and remember to WHEEL IT UP.”
Morgan made an epic return to the scene with “Bum Bum”, earning co-signs from Tiffany Calver and DJ Target (BBC 1Xtra), Dotty and Rebecca Judd (Apple Music 1), Manny Norté (Capital XTRA) to name a few. Ushering in a new chapter of her artistic career, both singles will feature on her sophomore EP Emotional Gangster, a project that offers a 360-degree showcase of her personality and all the sounds that have influenced Morgan to date, from pop bangers to timeless ballads. Set for release on October 25 via Red Bull Records, pre-save it, HERE.

Kofi Continues Hot Streak with New Single “I Know”
Rising Ghanaian-Canadian rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer Kofi today released his third single of the year, “I Know”.
Coming off his breakup-fueled track “We Don’t Make Sense”, he doubles down on provocative lyrics and unfiltered emotions, setting the tone for his unapologetic era. He effortlessly blends hip-hop and R&B in his savage quips and club-inspired percussive elements, elevating the tempo from his previous releases.
On the background behind “I Know”, Kofi shares, “I wrote “I Know” while on tour in Europe last year. It came to me following an argument with my girlfriend who was frustrated by how much time I was spending on the road playing Volleyball and working on music. At one point she threatened to break up with me, and although it was probably for the best, there was a part of us that knew it wasn’t going happen.”
Kofi redefines what it means to be a triple threat, as he excels in the studio, on the stage, and all over the court. Along with his passion for crafting hits, he’s an international volleyball sensation. Originally an all-star player on UCLA’s volleyball team in 2020, he left the sport behind to pursue music full time – until now. Four years and several albums later, Kofi returns to the game in France, serving as a 6’8” middle blocker on Arago de Séte. The club plays in the topflight of French volleyball’s LNV Ligue A (A-League), and Kofi is set to bring the team another championship win this season.
UK Pop/R&B Artist Morgan Signs With Red Bull Records And Releases New Single “Bum Bum” | The Dancehall-Infused Single Arrives With UK Tour Dates and a Vibrant Video That Celebrates Her Jamaican Roots and Feminine Power
We’re thrilled to welcome the London-born singer-songwriter, Morgan, to the Red Bull Records family! Ahead of Notting Hill Carnival celebrations, the 23-year-old powerhouse brings her first solo single to the label, “Bum Bum” with an official video and UK tour dates. “Bum Bum” signifies a bold new chapter in Morgan’s musical evolution, blending nostalgia with a heady mix of swirling bass, reggae rhythms, and dancefloor pop. Produced by Serban Cazan (Rita Ora, Rag’N’Bone Man), the track pays tribute to Morgan’s Jamaican heritage by sampling the iconic Sister Nancy “Bam Bam” vocal, harnessing an infectious dancehall-infused production.
On the signing, Red Bull Records’ Managing Director Greg Hammer shares, “After hearing Morgan’s incredible voice for the first time, we immediately had to find out more about her. Upon discovering her immense talent and amazing story, we pounced at the opportunity to work with her. While she’s been a force in pop, dance, and R&B for years, we’re excited to launch a new chapter of her career with Red Bull Records.”
Inspired by childhood memories of her father playing “Bam Bam,” the accompanying music video sees Morgan breathe new life into the classic sample, bottling the essence of Jamaican culture. Shot by renowned filmmaker Kassandra Powell on Dalston’s Ridley Road Market, the visual sees Morgan strutting through the street, capturing the attention of everyone she passes. From the stunning choreography to the heat palpitating in the bar, it sets the scene for the next song of the summer.
On the making of the single, Morgan says, “‘Bum Bum’ is essentially a nod to my Jamaican heritage – a lot of which you will hear in the music I am going to be sharing with you in this next part of my musical journey. It seemed like a no-brainer to incorporate an iconic sample into my songwriting recently; and who doesn’t love Sister Nancy’s ‘Bam Bam’. I wrote this one with two of my closest writing partners – Serban Cazan & Taneisha Jaxxon – and I couldn’t have chosen anyone else to write this with. Be ready guys… I’m back.”
Morgan will embark on a tour this November, headlining five shows across the UK, including a date at London’s iconic Jazz Cafe. The tour dates are as follows:
November 25: Glasgow @ The Poetry Club
November 26: Manchester @ YES
November 28: London @ Jazz Café
November 30: Birmingham @ The Sunflower Lounge
December 1: Bristol @ The Louisiana
Morgan’s early career saw her tour the world and release collaborations with beloved dance group Rudimental, whom she went on to write hit songs for. Off the back of that success, she worked with massive names in the electronic space including Purple Disco Machine, Sonny Fodera, Sigma, amongst others. Simultaneously, she broke out as a solo act in 2020 with the sparkling pop debut EP Alien, featuring a co-write from Anne-Marie on the titular track. It laid the runway for her viral single “ADCT” which swiftly hit #1 on the TikTok Trending Sounds chart and UK Top 50. Now with 80 million career streams and a home at Red Bull Records, Morgan’s reintroducing herself and giving fans a taste of what’s to come with “Bum Bum.”
House of Protection Announce Anticipated Debut EP GALORE Coming September 13 With New Single “Pulling Teeth” Out Today Single Arrives With Death-Defying Official Music Video Shot in India’s Infamous Well of Death
House of Protection, the new project from Aric Improta (drums) and Stephen Harrison (guitar), today announced their debut EP GALORE, coming on September 13. Alongside the news, they dropped their fourth adrenaline-inducing single, “Pulling Teeth” with an official video shot inside the legendary “Well of Death”. Dating back to April, the band traveled to Ahmedabad, India to capture a performance in the country’s infamous carnival sideshow. Aric and Stephen played at the bottom of a wooden pit while stunt drivers defied gravity and rode vertically around the well as locals watched from above. Known for taking creative risks and producing boundary-pushing visuals, “Pulling Teeth” is yet another daring feat that proves no one does it quite like House of Protection.
On the making of the video, the band shares, “The first day we met the full Red Bull Records team, we asked if they would be down to fly us to India to perform in a “Well of Death” – an idea we’d been sitting on for years. To our surprise, they were immediately on board, so we knew we just needed the right song. After two sessions of writing with Jordan, we finished “Pulling Teeth” and felt it was the perfect track to score the concept. I think we always perform best when the environment is a bit chaotic, so we were excited to see what would happen.
After 30 hours of travel, including canceled flights, flooding in our connecting airport (Dubai), a canceled location (due to a political rally), and an additional 16 hours of driving round-trip through the desert to the backup location… we finally found ourselves in the Well of Death. We did nine takes with a live audience, all while our director was throwing up between shots and one of the motorcycles died in the middle of the performance. That said, we came out with something better than we ever could have expected and had an incredible team on the ground that made it all possible.”
Beyond their visuals, a pillar of the band’s sound can be defined by this “high risk, high reward” mentality. As the duo continues to explore their artistry as a newly formed outfit, they’ve stretched, bent, and re-imagined their sonics with each release – from the screaming fury of “It’s Supposed To Hurt,” to the drum & bass dream sequence on “Being One”. For fans of metal mosh pits and underground raves alike, they’ve maintained a cohesive chaos in their versatility that comes full circle on the six-track breakout EP, GALORE. Producer Jordan Fish perfectly balances the raw instrumentation with crisp production to make room for Aric and Stephen’s vocals to thrive for the first time.
Thrill seekers looking for a cathartic release can catch House of Protection’s debut live shows on October 4 at The Echo in Los Angeles and October 15 at Underworld in London. Tickets are available here.
rouri404 Commissions Producer SAY3AM To Remix Glitchy Emo Track “decay” Featuring Vaeo
Following his breakout EP crows, Orlando’s fast-rising emo artist rouri404 returned today with a reimagined version of his latest single, “decay”. Featuring longtime collaborator Vaeo, the pair call on producer SAY3AM to deliver a phonk remix fit for club rotation. Building on rouri404’s cyber-influenced emo sound, SAY3AM injects frenetic beats and powerful bass, reminiscent of Fred Again’s emotive style. He seamlessly enhances “decay” with added grit and a bit of stutter to the already heavily layered track. The remix feels like a natural evolution to rouri404’s unique production and refusal to be defined by one sound.
On the remix, rouri404 shares, “I often don’t collaborate outside of my close circle of friends, so getting to do a “decay” remix with SAY3AM was a welcoming challenge. After finishing up my EP “crows” I started talks about a potential remix for any song off the EP. We all agreed “decay” would be amazing for a remix & started throwing ideas around, ending up talking about the Phonk scene that has been going up online the last couple of years. After shooting some names back and forth I found a good handful of artists in this scene I really connected with, started talks and landed on SAY3AM. Originally trying to collaborate over text, we decided calling for a couple of days would be a lot easier, during which we got to learn a lot more about each other. Without failure my favorite part of collaboration is just seeing how other people interpret what I say, and making it into their own piece of art.”

flawes SHARE THE NEW SINGLE ‘IS IT ANY WONDER’
Brit alt-pop trio Flawes’ dedication to their craft has made them one of the UK’s most exciting new bands. Their debut album ‘Highlights’ and the lockdown-era EP ‘Reverie’ put them on the cusp of a major breakthrough, their anthemic style leading to praise from Billie Eilish, sessions with Finneas, and extensive airplay at Radio 1. Meanwhile, their tight, dynamic live performances have resulted in unforgettable sets at the Reading and Leeds Festivals, as well as a sold-out London headline show at Omeara.
Now Flawes are set to capitalise on that growing reputation as they emerge stronger and streamlined with the brand-new single ‘Is It Any Wonder’, which is out now. The song lays the groundwork as Flawes prepare to launch a wealth of new material in 2023.
The rock-tinged alt-pop of ‘Is It Any Wonder’ bursts into life from the off, its propulsive rhythm generated by Juno synths and skittering percussion redolent of The Weeknd’s ‘Blinding Lights’ with a euphoric twist. Frontman Josh ‘JC’ Carruthers’s lyrics present a thrilling blast of catharsis as he bids farewell to a relationship at the very moment he’s decided to cut ties: “I’m tired of running round in circles / Going over damage done / There’s no use treading water / Better off going your own way.”
Flawes commented, “‘Is It Any Wonder’ is a song that means a lot to the three of us and sums up the exact moment you’ve decided to cut ties within a relationship. The chorus predicts that at some point in the future the penny will drop and they’ll realise what they’ve done and think, ‘Is it any wonder that I was left?’ It was an easy and natural song to write on, one of those where the lyrics just flowed out! It sets the tone for a lot of the other new music that we’re making.”
The freedom that comes with a fresh start also shines throughout the song’s video. The trio’s infectious enthusiasm is matched by their shared camaraderie, bringing personality and charisma in abundance. The video’s feelgood warmth is also heightened with rapid cuts and a bold palette. It was directed by Roisino and produced by Superglow (Alfie Templeman, The Vamps).
‘Is It Any Wonder’ was written by Flawes, completed by Freddie Edwards (guitar) and Josh ‘Huss’ Hussey (drums), produced by Simon Oscroft (Olivia Rodrigo, Portugal. The Man), and mixed by the renowned Mike Crossey (The 1975, Foals, Wolf Alice).
Flawes already have 10 million streams under their belt, as well as a Radio 1 Record of the Week, further airplay at Radio X, and praise from Clash, Wonderland, tmrw and Fault. But ‘Is It Any Wonder’ shows that bigger things are waiting just over the horizon.
THE ACES RELEASE NEW SINGLE “GIRLS MAKE ME WANNA DIE”
Indie-pop quartet The Aces are back with a heartbreak banger just in time for the Pride Festival season. Hearkening back to unrequited love of awkward teenage years, “Girls Make Me Wanna Die” is a queer anthem with a message that’s universally relatable.
The song shows the bands evolution, diving further into the pop soundscape while striking balance with their edgy, alternative identities. It’s playful, but cool, and bound to get fans moving.
When asked about the inspiration behind the song, The Aces collectively shared, “‘Girls Make Me Wanna Die’ is a nostalgic call back to our adolescence and shared experience of being young, queer, and painfully in love with your best friend. Everyone remembers that feeling. So many ‘what if’s’, so much longing. Every single look and touch meant something. We wanted this song to feel desperate and full of youth, so we stripped it down to how everything started back when we were kids, jamming in the basement. Guitar, drums, bass, and a distorted vocal.”
As announced in April, The Aces will be touring hard this summer, joining LA-based band Why Don’t We on their North American run and will be popping up at festivals and multiple Pride celebrations across the nation. NO ROME REMIXES THE ACES QUEER HEARTBREAK ANTHEM “GIRLS MAKE ME WANNA DIE”
he Aces kicked off the 2022 Pride season by releasing a queer heartbreak anthem for the ages. The band debuted “Girls Make Me Wanna Die” at WeHo Pride’s OUTLOUD Festival just days before it’s June 4th release. The track came out to immediate acclaim, being hailed as a “sparkling, indie-pop jam” (Billboard Pride) and an “official Pride anthem” (Teen Vogue) and saw support from a myriad of press including NPR, Nylon, Seventeen, AutoStraddle, Consequence, Line Of Best Fit, and more.
The band tapped Dirty Hit artist and The 1975 collaborator No Rome to curate a special remix of the track, releasing today via Red Bull Records. The synth-y reimagination of “Girls Make Me Wanna Die” gives the song a whole new feel. The Aces shared, “No Rome turned ‘Girls Make Me Wanna Die’ into a hyper pop smash that we’re obsessed with. We’re already big fans of his music but this remix is better than anything we could’ve expected.”
