Pride Guide

LA · SLC · NYC

Bar Flores

1542 Sunset Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90026

WEEE- WOOO! Sound the alarm cause we have another QUEER. OWNED. LOCATION! Bar Flores is a beautiful Mexican styled bar with even better cocktails and food. And that’s not all, they also have a lesbian night every week called “Hidden Hearts.” See you there :)

Creamo Silverlake

3534 Sunset Blvd.
Los Angeles, Ca 90026

Do you ever wanna stuff your face with not only ice cream BUT ice cream sandwiched in-between a donut, covered in raspberry syrup; but then you realize that you’re lactose intolerant and also gluten sensitive? Say no more. Creamo has ur back. PS… pls name that chaotic dessert combo we just described after us.

Intelligentsia

3922 W Sunset Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90029

This intelligent bean will make you say “wow, I’ll never make my own coffee AGAIN.” It’s that good. You might also see a rising indie pop star while grabbing your cappuccino, but make sure you pretend that you don’t know who they are.

Izakaya Osen

2903 Sunset Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA, 90029

Hands down our favorite restaurant in LA. We will take any opportunity to down that spicy tuna crispy rice like there is NO TOMORROW. Make sure you try the blue crab hot pot and the sea bass skewers, just a few of our favs.

Jewel

654 N Hoover St.
Los Angeles, CA 90004

LESBIANS RISE. Not only is Jewel some of the most kick ass/creative vegan cuisine on the east side of LA, its also queer owned and ran :) A staple for The Aces, try the fish tacos!

Los Feliz Flea Market

3939 Tracy St.
Los Angeles, CA 90027

Vintage goods as far as the naked eye can see. 0 entry fees, vintage band tees, it’s the BEES KNEES.

Muddy paw coffee

3320 Sunset Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90026

The definition of a serotonin boost, coffee in hand surrounded by dogs :) Muddy paw has more dog treat options than types of coffee drinks and we like it that way.

The semi-tropic

1412 Glendale Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90026

Head to the right, LESBIANS. Head to the left, MORE LESBIANS. Not only is this bar softly lit with a deluxe vibe, its also seemingly where all the gay women chill in LA. So ya, GO. PS every month they throw an event called “Dana’s Night” named after…. The L Word.. ? It can’t get gayer! That’s why we are obsessed.

Animalia

280 east 900 s
salt lake city, ut 84111

Our go-to spot for sustainable bulk items and kombucha on tap. They also sell amazing ceramics, jewelry, and art from local artists!

Arlo Restaurant

271 Center St.
Salt Lake City, UT 84103

This is the best spot for a nicer sit-down New American style dinner in Salt Lake. They use seasonal and local ingredients so the menu is always changing, but you truly can’t go wrong!

Bar-X

155 east 200 s
Salt Lake City, Ut 84111

Such a fun brewery-type bar that is actually owned by Ty Burrell a.k.a. Phil Dunphey from Modern Family. We always get whatever sour they have on-tap and a huge order of fries :)

Casot

1508 South 1500 E
Salt Lake City, Ut 84105

One of the only wine bars in Salt Lake! Casot is such a great vibe and our favorite for a glass of natural orange wine. You can even order food from Finca (across the street) and they will bring it over to you.

Laziz Kitchen

912 South Jefferson St.
Salt Lake City, UT 84101

This queer-owned, Mediterranean spot is one of our favs. Guy Fieri coined Laziz the “Pop & Pop Restaurant,” which is pretty iconic. You gotta try their Za'atar Roasted Veggies and burger! All of their hummus flavors are out of this world.

Lola.Utah

856 E 900th S
Salt Lake City UT 84105

Lola has the yummiest mexican-asian fusion food. It is such a great spot to grab coffee & a deluxe brunch or hit in the evening for some tacos and a margarita. We always have dinner together here when we are in town.

Pibs Exchange

1147 S Ashton Ave.
Salt Lake City, UT, 84106

Another great thrift store, Pib’s is a must. They have a whole costume section of the store too so whether you are in the mood to leave with a sick new denim jacket or some neon pasties and a wig, they truly have it all :)

Sun Trapp

102 South 600 W
Salt Lake City, UT 84101

The most iconic (and one of the only) gay bars in Utah, Sun Trapp was the inspiration behind our song “801.” There’s only one club, so we BLOW IT UP!

Tulie Bakery

863 east 700 s
salt lake city, ut 84102

One of the best coffee spots in Salt Lake, Tulie is an Aces staple. Make sure to try their avocado toast and their olive oil cake (which Ken had as her wedding cake lol).

Vantage

774 East 800 S
Salt Lake City, UT 84102

One of our favorite spots to thrift in Salt Lake! It has gotten increasingly popular over the past couple of years and even Olivia Rodrigo coins it as her favorite thrift store.

Ashbox Cafe

1154 Manhattan Ave.
Brooklyn, NY 11222

If we could pick a final meal, (sorry morbid) it would be Ashe box. The vibes, the food, we even saw Eric Andre there once so you know it's good. You can thank their salmon avocado wraps for getting us through the making of our first record.

Awoke Vintage

132 N 5th St.
Brooklyn, NY 11249

Our favorite place in Williamsburg to thrift a dope new fit – we have never left empty-handed.

Bathhouse

103 N 10th St.
Brooklyn, NY 11249

If there is one thing you need to know about The Aces, it is that we like to get DELUXE. It is truly what we do best. Going to a spa is one of our favorite things to do together to recover after a tour. Start practicing your Wim Hof breathing so that you can endure their life-altering cold plunge. You’ll feel so good after!

Chelsea Market

75 Ninth Ave.
New York, NY 10011

It is sometimes hard to pick a restaurant that satisfies each of our cravings, so if you are in NYC with a group this is your spot! There are amazing food options for everyone and it’s fun to walk around and get a taste of each. Our fav is Los Tacos No. 1!

Glasserie

95 COMMERCIAL ST.
GREENPOINT BROOKLYN, NY 11222

Glasserie is an Ace’s favorite and a historical landmark of the “When My Heart Felt Volcanic” era. We made the majority of our first record in a studio that is located right behind the restaurant. Glasserie’s amazing food fueled our first record and is a go to spot for these Brooklyn girlies!

Henrietta HudsoN

438 Hudson St.
New York, NY 10014

This is one of our fav gay clubs in the WORLD and that’s cause it’s a lesbian bar! As lesbians, we don’t have a lot of bars…. So naturally this one is always slammed and we are THERE. Go be gay at Henrietta’s!

Jajaja Plantas Mexicana

119 Kent Ave.
brooklyn, NY 11249

Hands-down, the BEST vegan restaurant in NYC and maybe anywhere! Such yummy and authentic Mexican food but it is all plant-based. Great for all the lactose-intolerant girlies that still want to get their cheesy enchilada fix :)

Leo

123 Havemeyer St.
Brooklyn, NY 11211

If you are craving a delicious naturally-fermented sourdough pizza, look no further! Leo is a newer spot and one of our favs.

Luckydog

303 Bedford Ave.
Brooklyn, NY 11211

Of all the bars we could go to in NY, we just keep ending up at Lucky Dog! It's a classic dive bar with a quaint outdoor space and you guessed it, DOG FRIENDLY :)

Nitehawk Cinema

136 Metropolitan Ave.
Brooklyn, NY 11249

Simply put, Nitehawk is the best indie theater we’ve ever been to. Get a burger and a beer, and enjoy!

Ramen Setagaya

280 Bedford Ave.
Brooklyn, NY 11249

Stumbling upon Setagaya was one of the happiest accidents. We haven't been able to find Ramen as good anywhere else we have traveled. Also, try the hot sake as an initiation.

Robertas

261 Moore St.
Brooklyn, NY 11206

Roberta’s pizza single-handedly fueled the making of “When My Heart Felt Volcanic”.

Sweatshop Coffee

232 Metropolitan Ave.
Brooklyn, NY 11211

This was another spot that we accidentally stumbled upon while making our first record and it has been a fav ever since. The best little Australian coffee shop with amazing coffee (obviously) and our absolute favorite avocado toast.

The High Line

820 Washington St.
New York, NY 10014

After we hit Chelsea Market for a bite, we always walk across the street and walk The High Line. It has such pretty views of the city!
